Nintendo NX Will Release March 2017, Zelda Wii U Delayed

Nintendo will release the NX console globally in March 2017, Zelda “Wii U” delayed and releases simultaneously with NX version.


Early this morning, Nintendo released a financial report for shareholders and investors outlining upcoming business plans for the company through 2017. The report includes financial earning reports and a short letter from Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima, mentioning the company’s foray into theme parks, mobile games and “Toys-To-Life” Amiibo figurines. The report also casually mentions that the NX will be releasing globally in March of 2017.

That’s the best way to make an announcement when you’re Nintendo: at 3AM EST, in a financial report.

The report also included an updated release chart for Nintendo’s upcoming software titles. Included within was every Nintendo fans’ biggest fear; that the new Legend of Zelda title would indeed once again be delayed. The release date is now listed as 2017 in the report.


Furthermore, the official Twitter account of Nintendo of America confirmed that the title would be releasing for both the Wii U and NX simultaneously.
